Master Data Management
Master data forms the basis of business processes. Master data management contains the organizational and technical processes for creating, managing and distributing master data. Data quality and consistency as well as cross-system unambiguity (avoidance of redundancies) are among the core aspects.
There are multiple definitions for master data, usually these definitions refer to the following points:
- Frequency of change (changes to master data are foreseeable or rare)
- Master data as reference data (master data is referenced by other systems, transaction data, etc.)
Regardless of the theoretically low frequency of changes, we have chosen an iterative / agile approach to master data management.
Why wait for your master data, while other systems are already designed for fast and agile processing?
